Who we are
Dayply is a time tracking service. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
Your account: the email address, name and picture of the account you sign in with.
From your computer, through the agent: when you were active (the time since your last input, never the keys themselves), the app in front, whether the screen was locked or kept on, and your computer's name. Window titles only if you turn them on.
From your editors, through their WakaTime plugin: what the plugin sends, such as the file being edited, its project, branch and language, and the editor's name.
From Claude Code, through the agent's plugin: when each turn and subagent starts and ends, the project and its repository's first commit, and for each request the model, the tokens and their cost at list price. Never what you or the agent write.
Why
Only to show you your time: your dashboard, your periods, your projects. Nothing is sold, nothing is used for advertising, and nothing is shown to others unless you turn on your public profile.
Your public profile
Off by default. Turned on, it shows your account's name and picture, your totals and languages over the last seven days, and your projects if you allow it. Never your email, your apps or your tokens.
Where it is kept
On servers we run in Canada, at OVHcloud. The European Commission recognizes that Canada protects personal data adequately. The keys your devices use are stored hashed, never in the clear, and are never written to our logs.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in, another remembers your language. No advertising or tracking cookies, and the site loads nothing from other companies.
Who else is involved
The service you sign in with (GitHub, Google or Discord) learns that you signed in to Dayply. The site goes through Cloudflare, which protects it and carries it to our servers. The emails we send you go through an email provider. Nothing else leaves our servers.
How long
Your data is kept as long as your account exists, so your history stays complete. To delete your account and all its data, write to [email protected]: it is done within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, or have it corrected or deleted, by writing to [email protected]. If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters to you, we tell you by email or in the dashboard before it applies.
